Welcome to my blog ! Instead of blabbing about me and this blog, why I don't make the first blog post useful for some of you out there.

For STATA users out there. I have come across a very useful STATA package to calculate age, personage. It is the most accurate way to calculate age.  It gives age in years or days. All it needs is two inputs; a birth date and a current date. You can use it not just to calculate people's age but also firm age or the number of years since a certain event (e.g. IPO). Basically any time length or duration variable can be calculated using this command.
